Q1: Can the USB-C port be used for both power and input signal simultaneously?
A1: No, it cannot charge. It can only be used for signal input.
Q2: Does the volume level change when switching inputs?
A2: The volume has memory function. Each input can have its own corresponding volume level.
Q3: Can the default input be set to Optical?
A3: Yes. Simply switch the input to Optical. Based on the SGD1's memory function, it will start up with Optical input next time.
Q4: How to put the SGD1 into standby/sleep mode? What is the power consumption?
A4: Press the mute button. After a period of inactivity, the front panel will turn off, entering standby mode. Power consumption is less than 8W.
Q5: How to switch filter modes?
A5: Long press the knob until the filter mode indicator lights up, then rotate the knob to switch between filter modes.
Q6: Can I connect headphones directly to the SGD1?
A6: There is no headphone jack. You can use a dual RCA to 3.5mm adapter cable to connect some low-impedance headphones. For HiFi headphones, it is recommended to use a headphone amplifier.
Q7: Can it connect to speakers?
A7: It can connect to active speakers. Passive speakers require an external power amplifier.
Q8: What are the op-amp models?
A8: I/V Circuit: OPA1612 * 2; LPF Circuit: RT6863 * 2.
Q9: What crystal oscillator frequencies are used?
A9: 24 MHz; 45.1584 MHz; 49.152 MHz; 100 MHz.
Q10: Does it support DoP (DSD over PCM)?
A10: No. When playing DSD audio sources, the DSD stream goes directly into the DAC chip without transcoding.
Q11: The SGD1 is connected and the input is set, but there's no sound. Why?
A11: The initial boot volume is set to minimum. You need to increase the volume. Long press the volume '+' button to increase volume quickly.
Q12: When connected via USB to a computer using Foobar2000 to play a DSD file, and coaxial output to another DAC, why is there no sound?
A12: The DSD to coaxial SPDIF conversion function is not enabled.
Q13: Can software be used to control the SGD1's audio?
A13: Yes, it supports the generic USB Audio protocol.
Q14: Can the SGD1's Bluetooth be turned off? Why can't I connect to the SGD1's Bluetooth?
A14: Yes. Turn off the Bluetooth on the host device or the SGD1, then try connecting again.
